Dear DAG subscribers:
As an introvert, I don't get out much. But when I do, it's usually to see long-time friends and gain valuable knowledge. That's why you will see me often at Philadelphia's Design Advocacy Group (DAG) events.
DAG is our community's relentless champion for excellence and equity in architecture, preservation, and planning. As a mission-oriented real estate developer, I appreciate their focus on some of the biggest issues and opportunities facing our great city: the proposed Sixers' arena, the future of the police Roundhouse, the development of the Bellwether District, and much more.
I was at the “Build Philly” event in March (which DAG helped to plan) and at the one-on-one conversation with Mayor-elect Cherelle Parker in October. Those were just two of DAG's 15 public programs in 2023, and the discussions were vital to focus us and the next mayoral administration on the built environment and its implications for affordable housing and community revitalization.
DAG is mostly volunteer-led, but they do have operating expenses. Please support their work with a 100% tax deductible donation. Just click #DIGDEEPFORDAG
I just gave, and I hope you will dig deep to keep the momentum going!
With thanks and warm wishes.
