*** PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS MEETING IS ON THURSDAY, JULY 11 DUE TO THE INDEPENDENCE DAY HOLIDAY. *** Williams Director Julian Siggers discusses the Penn Museum’s ambitious Building Transformation campaign, which will reimagine more than 44,000 square feet of galleries and public spaces in the historic building, letting in the light and showcasing its important collections in new ways. How do you move a sphinx and then a pharaoh’s palace? How can exhibitions thoughtfully engage with other cultures? How can new galleries spark the thrill of discovery in visitors of all ages? Dr. Siggers will address these questions and more in his overview of the Museum’s more than 130-year journey to this exciting point in its history.
