The Design Advocacy Group (DAG) is proud to join a coalition of Philadelphia's cultural and preservation organizations in calling for immediate action to preserve the former Philadelphia History Museum at 15 S. 7th Street. As one of Philadelphia's most important architectural and cultural landmarks, the historic John Haviland-designed building deserves proper stewardship, including routine maintenance, stabilization, and the correction of outstanding code violations. We support the coalition's call for the City to establish a transparent process and clear timeline for the building's future, ensuring that this significant public asset remains an active contributor to Philadelphia's rich architectural, cultural, and civic legacy.
