The Park at Penn's Landing

As Vice President for Planning and Capital Programs at DRWC, Lizzie Woods manages a diverse portfolio of projects and initiatives meant to spur the transformation of the Delaware River Waterfront into a dynamic and vibrant destination for the residents of and visitors to Philadelphia. She oversees the implementation of the Master Plan for the Central Delaware, including the design and construction of new parks, trails, and streetscape improvements as well as the strategy and coordination of waterfront-wide planning and policy initiatives. Additionally, she coordinates the redevelopment of publicly held land on the waterfront for new residential and commercial uses and works with private developers to ensure the principles of the Master Plan are followed. Major projects she has overseen include Penn’s Landing Park, Penn’s Landing Development, the Delaware River Trail, and Cherry Street Pier. She graduated from Smith College and received a Master in City Planning degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mary Margaret Jones is President and CEO of Hargreaves Jones, leading the firm’s offices in New York City, San Francisco, and Cambridge.  Mary Margaret has over 30 years of experience, demonstrating the power of investing in the public realm to transform cities, institutions, and communities.  She is a recognized leader in planning and landscape architecture, lecturing widely and participating in the shaping of the practice and education of the profession.  She holds board positions with the American Academy in Rome; The Architectural League NY; the Regional Plan Association; and ODC Dance in San Francisco.  Mary Margaret’s work with Hargreaves Jones has been recognized nationally and internationally, including the prestigious Cooper Hewitt National Design Award and the Rosa Barba International Landscape Prize.  She is a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects; Fellow of the American Academy in Rome; Fellow of the Urban Design Forum in New York; and Senior Fellow of the Design Futures Council.

Richard Maimon is a partner at KieranTimberlake, an award-winning architecture firm recognized for its environmental ethos, research expertise, and innovative design and planning. In more than thirty years leading projects at KieranTimberlake, Richard has worked to move architecture forward while creating projects that are deeply rooted to place and culture. He sees collaboration as essential in achieving meaningful design that connects people, place, and culture, while addressing urgent issues of the environment. In addition to Penn’s Landing, Richard currently oversees projects at New York University and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Past work includes the Embassy of the United States in London and the East End Transformation at Washington University in St. Louis. Philadelphia projects include Dilworth Park, Levine Hall at the University of Pennsylvania, renovations to the Bulletin Building and Congregation Rodeph Shalom, new homes for the Arden and Philadelphia Theatre Companies, and projects for the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. Richard speaks internationally on architectural topics and frequently serves on design juries. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University and a Master of Architecture degree from Princeton University.
