Event is SOLD OUT. Join the waitlist via the "RSVP" button below. (DAG is inquiring if we can expand the tour.) DAG is hosting a guided tour of the new Charles Library at Temple University. Architect Nathan McRae of Snøhetta will lead the tour of this important new building on the Temple campus in North Philadelphia. The state-of-the-art, 220,000-squre-foot library houses 2.5 million volumes, research, study and social spaces and “Bookbot,” an automated storage retrieval system. Envisioned as Temple's most prominent structure on Polett Walk, the entrance to the new library will serve as a pedestrian gathering place with a transformational function and aesthetic. In addition to supporting its students, the building is intended to strengthen the university's civic presence and communicate Temple's connection and commitment to the city and community.
