SEPTA is redesigning the wayfinding system for its Rail Transit network, comprised of the Market-Frankford Line, Broad Street Line, Trolleys, and Norristown High Speed Line. The project will enable SEPTA to promote ridership post-COVID-19 and enhance the passenger experience through improved visual cohesiveness, navigability, and system branding. A central goal is to create a new signage and wayfinding system that works for all transit riders, regardless of language, ability, or familiarity with the system. The project includes outreach at multiple stages, including through workshops, interviews, focus groups, surveys, and protype stations. SEPTA is working with a communications and wayfinding firm, Entro, to support this process and gain valuable insight from stakeholders and wider community. This presentation will provide an overview of the project and work that has been done to date.
Please be sure to take SEPTA's survey on wayfinding in English or in Spanish.
