Tony Sorrentino
Tony Sorrentino is a civic leader, urban planner, and strategic public affairs executive with more than 25 years of experience advancing Philadelphia's cultural, academic, and nonprofit institutions. As Chief Executive Officer of the Fairmount Park Conservancy, Sorrentino provides strategic leadership for the organization's mission, operations, fundraising, partnerships, and public engagement efforts in support of Philadelphia's parks. He works with civic, community, philanthropic, and government partners to advance investments, programs, and initiatives that enhance the accessibility, vitality, and long-term stewardship of Fairmount Park and the city's broader park system. Before joining the Conservancy, he served in senior leadership at the University of Pennsylvania, helping guide major planning, community engagement, and economic development initiatives. Earlier, he held leadership roles with the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance and The Franklin Institute. Sorrentino holds a Master of City Planning from Penn's Weitzman School of Design and a B.A. from La Salle University. He is a Fellow of the Penn Institute for Urban Research, a lecturer in City Planning at the Weitzman School, and a member of the Dean's Advisory Council. He is a Director of the Visit Philadelphia Board since 2019, and past director of the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia, the Chestnut Hill Conservancy, and the Schuylkill River Development Corporation.
